Last October, before the release of Guild Wars Nightfall, we offered Guild Wars fans the opportunity to win an invitation to our Nightfall Launch Party. The event was a tremendous success—the dev team had as much fun meeting the fans as the fans had meeting the developers!

This year, we''re in a party mood again! We''ll be celebrating the launch of Guild Wars: Eye of the North at PAX (Penny Arcade Expo), in Seattle, Washington, the weekend of August 24, 2007. The Guild Wars party will take place on Saturday night at GameWorks, just a few hundred yards from the Expo itself. We''ll have food, drink, swag, and fun! The first hour will be a private VIP party, and then we''ll throw the doors open to all PAX attendees.
We are inviting all Guild Wars fans at PAX to join us at the party, but we''re offering a special few the chance to win a VIP Early Access ticket. Are you the sort who sings the Guild Wars theme song in the shower? Have you tried to cast Res on a dead goldfish? Did you embarrass yourself at the last family gathering by hugging your grandmother and saying, "May Dwayna be with you?" Have you tried to budget for real-world items in ectos? Would "Charr Slippers" be at the top of your Christmas list? Sounds like you just might be a Guild Wars Super Fan!
In addition to the food and beverages, Guild Wars swag, and lots of video gaming that the party will offer, attendees will have an opportunity to challenge the devs to three skill challenges that are (sort of) tied to the three lands of Guild Wars: Play the Shiverpeak Shuffle (air hockey)! Hit the Canthan (Taiko) Drums! And race a Nightfall Rollerbeetle (ok, make that an Indy car), too!
